Press Quotes

"If the fact that you might bump into regulars like Formula 1 big noise Flavio Briatore and Prince Albert of Monaco in your bathrobe doesn't put you off visiting the latter, you'll find one of the most atmospheric boltholes in the Alps, deftly blending traditional Alpine furnishings with chic modern style." The Observer 06

"A picture-postcard ski chalet in the lee of the Dolomites, this is a family run venture with excellent standards of service."

Rosa Alpina is a family run hotel, positioned in the heart of the village San Cassiano nestled into the stunning Italian Dolomites. It captivates with timeless elegance and inconspicuous luxury. The mountain lodge-style rooms have bees waxed wood furniture, pale marble, antique wood floors, and creamy linens. Furnished with loving attention to detail, each room has its individual note.

Countless opportunities for fitness activities await the Guests at the Rosa Alpina. In summer, sports include world-class mountain biking and hiking, with trails starting right at the hotel, rock climbing, horse riding and paragliding. In winter it is home to the Dolomiti Superski circuit with 1200km of slopes and 460 ski lifts, considered one of the world s top skiing areas. Besides there are cross-country skiing trails nearby. However the unique beauty of the Dolomites can also be discovered on snowshoe excursions, horse-drawn sleigh rides and panoramic helicopter flights.

The hotel s renowned Beauty Spa Daniela Steiner, designed to relax and rejuvenate in retreat full of warmth and sophistication, offers a wide range of pampering treatments. The vast majority of preparations are home-made from herbal ingredients. There is furthermore an indoor pool, steam bath, sauna, jacuzzi and a gym for a perfect recreation and repose.

The dining options at the hotel range from the casual WINE BAR & GRILL, most popular with younger guests, serving home-made pasta-dishes and grilled specialities up to scrumptious pizza baked in a traditional wood stove, the cosy STUBEN in classical Alpine chalet-style, where fondue and Ladin specialities are served upon reservation and the celebrated 10-table gourmet restaurant: ST. HUBERTUS. The latter, headed up by Norbert Niederkofler, is ranked among the best in Italy. It has been honoured with a second Michelin star since autumn 2006.
